The project included a new 40–bed nursing and rehabilitation facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The client’s vision was a residential / resort environment that departs from the typical institutional feel. T•R•I designed a welcoming atmosphere that incorporated earthy colors, soft textures and durable materials. T•R•I assisted the owner with furniture allocation, bidding and negotiation. Special attention was given to accessibility and maintenance needs when selecting furniture. The furnishings included custom suite seating in the recreation areas, dining, and a variety of lounge areas.
